Hi, Charles Randall here with some exciting news: we're having a tournament!
Where?
Titan Games! The address is 724 S. Neil St, Champaign, IL 61820
When?
On my birthday, of course! The tournament will be held on Tuesday, August 11th. Registration will begin at 3:30 PM and run until 4. At that time, the tournament will begin!
Why?
There will be prizes! For my Top 64 finish at U.S. Nationals this year, I won a box (36 Roaring Skies Pokemon Booster Packs). Entry fee will be five dollars, and everyone gets a pack for entering! The other pack goes into the prize pool. The box I won will also go into the prize pool, so chances are that you will win enough packs to make your money back.
How?
Come by bus, train, cow, or plane, as long as you get here!
Who?
You!
Where?
You've started to repeat yourself, so I won't answer this question.
What cards can I use, Charles Randall?
That's a good question! You can use any card legal in the Expanded format, which includes every set printed since Black & White. If you want to see some popular and successful decks in the Expanded format, check this page out. That gives the results of an Expanded tournament that took place in Germany in June. There you can see the exact list that the top eight players played with! You cannot use any cards from the Ancient Origins expansion, so the format will be the same as the one played in Bochum.
Will I need a decklist?
No, you won't need a decklist, but if you've never played in a tournament before, you should have one of the veteran league players or a judge take a look at your deck to make sure everything is tournament-legal.
How long will the tournament last?
It probably won't last that long but it depends on how many people show up. Tell all of your friends! Dinner will not be provided however.
What if I have any questions whatsoever?
If you have any questions whatsoever, feel free to leave them down in the comments section below, and I will try my best to respond to every single one!
Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you there!
